follow something

What kind of things we hope for our society that follow models of development that goes againts the palnet, againts the nature... of course my society suffers too much obidience, special because Colombia is a develop country; so, all of us follow economc ideas like try to buy cars instead of use public transportation, and the goverment don't care about offer chances to change  the situation. I know that the manner is to change myself, and don't follow the ways trends that try selling me more and more things. In the oder hand I can realize that we follow obidience juts to feel part of a gruop, and we want to be protect for the same group. it's a tricky question, we are humans, and we need feel recognize in a society; so, we always try to be member of a bunch of people, but it's difficult to refuse some behaviors when you accept others; at the final you accept all behaviors to be member of a group.
